Deliverance Ministry

What is Deliverance?

Deliverance has gotten a bad reputation because it has not always been handled in a professional, ethical, compassionate, or Biblical manner. Deliverance sessions are not what you may see on YouTube or hear about in some circles. Deliverance sessions are similar to Biblical counseling sessions, quiet, gentle and thorough. Deliverance is a prayer ministry and the practical application of Matthew 10:1, Psalm 40:9-10, James 5:16.

Deliverance is the process of being set free from spiritual bondages that hinder us from walking in the victory of Jesus (Yeshua) Psalm 40:17, Jeremiah 1:7-8, Psalm 107:6, 20, Psalm 50:15, Psalm 34:17, and Colossians 1:13. Deliverance focuses on tearing down spiritual strongholds (2 Corinthians 10:4) in one’s life and finding inner healing. Spiritual strongholds form in our souls (mind, will, and emotions) and hearts. To overcome them we must renounce the agreements we have made (believing lies) and repent (for going against God's Word and Design). We are given free will, we exercise our free will with the choices we make in our thoughts and behaviors. We must not submit ourselves to the bondage of slavery (Galatians 5:1).

It is important to understand that our choices can give permission to things in our lives that have negative consequences spiritually and naturally. At other times we fail to understand our identities in Jesus (Yeshua), spiritual warfare, and how to fight spiritually. While we do not fight against flesh and blood but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places (Ephesians 6:12)  the devil is not behind every negative, painful, or traumatic experience.

Benefits of deliverance are having a clearer mind making it easier to take thoughts captive (the enemy has no new tricks, he will always tempt us in our thoughts, the battlefield begins in the mind), James 4:7, 1 Corinthians 10:13, 2 Corinthians 10:5 . You will walk in the fruit of the spirit more easily and have increased awareness of discerning of spirits (1 John 4:1-21, 2 Timothy 1:7, 1 John 3:9.
